Amy Arlander

Amy Arlander

Denver, Colorado

Amy Arlander has been a litigator since 2001. At Alderman Bernstein, Amy specializes in the areas of eminent domain and real estate litigation. Her work includes litigation of contract disputes, zoning issues and Rule 106 challenges to land use decisions. Amy enjoys working in a boutique law firm where she’s able to focus on a specific area of the law and become a true expert. “That way you’re just layering knowledge on top of knowledge and you really become valuable to your client,” she says.

To both her clients and colleagues, Amy is known for being honest, hard working and efficient. She has a consistent track record of obtaining favorable results for her clients. Prior to joining Alderman Bernstein LLC, Amy was a senior associate at Kamlet Shepherd & Reichert, LLP (now known as Lathrop & Gage, P.C.), where she represented individual and institutional clients in complex commercial litigation matters. Amy started her legal career in Kutak Rock LLP's Denver litigation department. She has also worked as a contract attorney for a preeminent boutique employment litigation firm.

Amy obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she double-majored in Political Science and Speech. She graduated with her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2001. During law school, Amy participated in the Civil Legal Aid Program, representing clients in family law litigation matters.

Amy was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California, where she was active as a competitive swimmer. She continued competitive swimming at St. Olaf College and was an NCAA Collegiate All-American in 1985, 1986 and 1988.

She currently lives in Lakewood, with her husband and their two children. In her free time, Amy still participates in masters swimming and enjoys gardening, music and reading (she co-founded a neighborhood book club). She volunteers at her children’s school and for the Jefferson County Library Foundation. She has also co-led her daughter’s Girl Scout troop since 2012 and has loved watching the girl’s grow and mature.
